Position: Production Engineer
Department: Production & Manufacturing
Reporting To: Production Manager / Plant Head
Kalyani Green Enviro is engaged in the field of Water and Wastewater Treatment Project Equipment Manufacturing with two manufacturing units located in Dehugoan, Taluka Haveli, Dist. Pune We are looking for a young, dynamic, and enthusiastic Sales Proposal and Project Engineer to support our Sales & Marketing team.
Job Purpose
The Production Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and improving manufacturing activities to ensure timely production of quality products while achieving optimum productivity, cost efficiency, and safety. The role involves coordinating with Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Projects, and Dispatch departments to ensure smooth production operations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
· Allocate manpower, machines, and resources based on production priorities.
· Monitor production schedules to meet committed delivery dates.
· Coordinate production activities with planning and project teams.
· Ensure optimum utilization of manpower and machinery.
2. Shop Floor Supervision
· Supervise fabrication, machining, assembly, welding, painting, and testing activities.
· Ensure production work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
· Monitor work progress and resolve shop floor issues.
· Maintain production discipline and workflow.
· Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S implementation.
3. Quality Control
· Ensure all products comply with approved drawings and quality standards.
· Coordinate with QA/QC for stage inspections and final inspections.
· Minimize rework, rejection, and production defects.
· Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality improvements.
4. Production Monitoring
· Track daily production targets and achievements.
· Monitor machine utilization and operator productivity.
· Analyze production delays and implement corrective measures.
· Maintain production records and work completion reports.
5. Material Coordination
· Coordinate with Stores for timely availability of raw materials.
· Coordinate with Purchase for urgent procurement requirements.
· Minimize material wastage and improve material utilization.
· Monitor production consumables and stock requirements.
6. Team Management
· Supervise operators, welders, fitters, fabricators, machinists, painters, and helpers.
· Allocate work according to skill level.
· Train employees on production methods and safety practices.
· Monitor attendance, discipline, and productivity.
7. Machine & Equipment Management
· Ensure proper utilization of production machinery and equipment.
· Coordinate preventive maintenance with the Maintenance Department.
· Report machine breakdowns and monitor repairs.
· Improve machine efficiency and reduce downtime.
8. Cost & Productivity Improvement
· Identify opportunities for process improvement.
· Reduce production cycle time and manufacturing costs.
· Improve productivity through continuous improvement initiatives.
· Support Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen activities.
9. Safety & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with all safety rules and company policies.
· Enforce the use of PPE on the shop floor.
· Conduct toolbox talks and promote safe work practices.
· Report accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.
10. Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain Daily Production Reports.
· Maintain Work Order Status Reports.
· Update Production Planning Sheets.
· Prepare Machine Utilization Reports.
· Record Material Consumption Reports.
· Maintain Rework and Rejection Reports.
· Submit Weekly and Monthly Production Performance Reports.

Educational Qualification
· B.E. / B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering
· Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (with relevant experience)
· Production / Industrial Engineering qualifications will be an added advantage.
Experience
· Production Engineer: 1–3 years of experience in Engineering, Fabrication, Process Equipment, Industrial Machinery, Water & Wastewater Equipment, or Manufacturing.
· Fresh Mechanical Engineers with strong technical knowledge may also preferred
Working Hours: Monday to Saturday: 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM
