Job Summary
We have an urgent requirement in NatWest for an AWS Solution Designer to from a PCF to AWSNeed a hands-on AWS Technical Leader who can: Drive AWS migration strategy & executionOwn solution decisions & lead POCsBuild and guide engineering teamsEnsure enterprise-grade quality & reliability Drive end-to-end engineering delivery for Java-based microservices (Spring Boot) Lead hands-on design and implementation of AWS-based architectures , translating business requirements into scalable, secure microservices solutions and establishing reusable design patterns, standards, and best practices across teams. Drive end-to-end engineering delivery for Java-based microservices (Spring Boot) , actively contributing to coding, design reviews, and troubleshooting while ensuring high-quality, maintainable, and production-grade systems. Own technical problem-solving and innovation , leading POCs, evaluating new technologies, defining solution approaches, and resolving complex architectural and runtime challenges with pragmatic, scalable solutions. Ensure platform reliability, performance, and security , implementing observability, fault tolerance, zero-downtime deployment strategies, and secure-by-design principles in line with modern cloud-native practices. Enable effective team execution and mentorship , providing technical guidance, code reviews, and coaching engineers while driving engineering excellence, accountability, and delivery predictability. Collaborate across stakeholders (architects, product, delivery) to align on designs, break down complex requirements, and ensure seamless translation of business needs into working software. Promote engineering best practices and operational discipline , including clean code principles, design patterns, API standardisation, documentation, and strong testing culture (unit/integration/performance). Leverage DevOps practices as an enabler , supporting CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation to improve deployment efficiency, quality, and release reliability. Key Responsibilities
1. To architect| design and develop (through Team) solution for product/project & sustenance delivery
2. To support as an Subject Matter Expert
3. To ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and the client requirements
4. Ensuring a sufficient pool of skilled professionals in the designated technology, through activities such as conducting interviews, providing training sessions and offering mentorship.
5. To gather specifications and deliver solutions to the client organization based on understanding of a domain or technology.
6. To support competency development with envisioning and articulating propositions â building collaterals/ whitepaper creation, market trend analysis etc.
7. To recommend client value creation initiatives and implement industry best practices (on specific technology/product)
