Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for data center projects. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, data center infrastructure, and the ability to manage complex projects from concept to completion.
- Design electrical systems for data centers, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and backup power systems.
- Develop detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts using CAD software.
- Ensure designs meet industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
- Lead electrical design projects from initial concept through to final completion.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers.
- Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather project requirements and constraints.
- Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, and coordination studies.
- Specify and select electrical equipment and components.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Ensure all designs are tested and validated to meet performance and safety standards.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including design reports, specifications, and as-built drawings.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in electrical design engineering, with a focus on data center projects.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP).
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Experience with power distribution systems, UPS, generators, and switchgear.
