We are looking for a responsible, trustworthy, and proactive Building Caretaker to oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and administration of a residential building. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing staff, coordinating maintenance activities, handling resident requirements, and ensuring the smooth functioning of all building facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage housekeeping, security, and maintenance staff.
- Monitor the cleanliness and upkeep of common areas, lobbies, staircases, lifts, terraces, and other shared facilities.
- Coordinate routine maintenance and repair work with contractors and service providers.
- Handle resident complaints and service requests promptly and professionally.
- Assist the Building Management Committee in implementing society rules and regulations.
- Coordinate emergency situations and arrange immediate corrective actions when required.
- Maintain daily logs and submit periodic reports on building operations.
- Collect quotations from vendors and supervise execution of repair and maintenance work.
- Ensure compliance with safety, fire protection, and statutory requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum Higher Secondary (Class XII) education.
- Previous experience as a Building Supervisor, Caretaker, Facility Executive, or Property Manager preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, civil maintenance, and building operations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage staff and interact courteously with residents.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, WhatsApp, Email) preferred.
- Honest, disciplined, and service-oriented personality.
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years of experience in residential societies, apartment complexes, commercial buildings, or gated communities.
- Experience in vendor management and maintenance coordination.
