- Manage the complete day-to-day operations of the factory store.
- Receive incoming raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, spare parts, and other store items.
- Verify materials against Purchase Orders, Delivery Challans, and invoices.
- Maintain proper records for material inward and outward.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, labeling, and arrangement of materials.
- Issue materials to Production and other departments against authorized requisitions.
- Maintain accurate stock and inventory records through ERP/software or Excel.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile stock discrepancies.
- Monitor minimum stock levels and coordinate with the Purchase Department to avoid material shortages.
- Follow proper FIFO (First In, First Out) practices wherever applicable.
- Monitor material consumption and help control wastage and excess inventory.
- Handle packaging-industry materials such as films, laminates, inks, adhesives, solvents, pouches, cartons, packing materials, cores, and consumables, as applicable.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, PPC, Quality, Accounts, and Dispatch Departments.
- Maintain proper documentation including GRN, stock registers, material issue slips, and inventory reports.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, 5S, safety, and cleanliness in the store area.
- Report damaged, excess, shortage, or non-conforming materials immediately to the concerned department.
- Support internal and external stock audits.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as a Store Keeper, preferably in the Packaging Industry.
- Good knowledge of store operations and inventory management.
- Experience in handling raw materials and packaging materials.
- Basic knowledge of ERP/software and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of FIFO and stock reconciliation.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Responsible, honest, and detail-oriented.
