Job Summary
We are looking for an energetic and target-driven Sales Team Leader to lead, mentor, and oversee a team of sales executives in the stock market and financial services domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving team performance, achieving sales targets, coaching team members, and ensuring excellent client acquisition and relationship management. The role requires strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of capital market products, and the ability to build a high-performing sales culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of Sales Executives to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly business targets.
- Guide and mentor team members on sales techniques, objection handling, and client relationship management.
- Monitor individual and team performance through regular reviews, KPI tracking, and performance feedback.
- Conduct daily sales meetings, training sessions, and motivational activities.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to improve lead conversion and revenue generation.
- Assist team members in closing high-value sales and resolving customer concerns.
- Ensure timely follow-up on leads generated through digital marketing, referrals, and other channels.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and build long-term client relationships.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, SEBI regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with Operations, Research, and Customer Support teams for smooth client onboarding and servicing.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports to management.
- Identify training needs and continuously develop team members' product knowledge and sales capabilities.
- Keep the team updated on stock market trends, investment products, and industry developments.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- MBA (preferred).
- NISM Certification (preferred).
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in stock broking, financial services, or capital markets.
- At least 1–2 years of experience leading or mentoring a sales team.
- Proven experience in achieving sales targets and managing team performance.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of equity, derivatives, mutual funds, IPOs, and other investment products.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to motivate and inspire a target-driven sales team.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales reports and market trends.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Excel, and sales reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and target-oriented environment.
