Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Brewer to join our full-time, on-site team at our Roorkee (Haridwar district), Uttarakhand brewery. In this critical role, you will be the backbone of our day-to-day operations, ensuring that every batch meets our uncompromising standards for quality and purity. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of our beer on the floor—from raw ingredient management and brewhouse operations to packaging, inventory tracking, and dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
Brewing & Production
- Supervise daily brewhouse operations, including milling, mashing, boiling, and fermentation management according to exact recipe specifications.
- Monitor fermentation profiles, gravity, pH, and temperature to ensure consistency and adherence to our low-calorie, clean-brewing ethos.
- Perform routine cellar tasks, including yeast pitching, harvesting, dry-hopping, and transfers.
- Maintain rigorous cleanliness by executing standard CIP (Clean-In-Place) and SIP (Sterilize-In-Place) procedures for all tanks and equipment.
Packaging & Dispatch
- Oversee bottling, canning, and kegging operations, ensuring minimal oxygen pickup and accurate fill levels.
- Manage the staging and loading of finished products for dispatch, coordinating smoothly with logistics to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure all packaged products meet strict quality control and labeling standards before leaving the facility.
Inventory & Facility Management
- Conduct regular audits of raw materials (malts, hops, yeast) and packaging supplies.
- Maintain accurate brewing logs, production records, and inventory tracking systems.
- Alert management proactively regarding material shortages to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Assist in routine equipment maintenance and immediately troubleshoot or report mechanical issues.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven professional experience as a Brewer or Assistant Brewer in a commercial brewery setting.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of brewing science, fermentation, yeast management, and cellar operations.
- Alignment with Ethos: Commitment to clean brewing practices and strict adherence to hygiene.
- Workplace Policy: Must be able to work 100% on-site at the Roorkee brewery.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform the tasks required in a hot/wet brewery environment.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous record-keeping skills and a sharp eye for hygiene and quality control.
