Role Summary
We’re a UK-based agency looking for a skilled Video Editor who can create strong social-first content while also handling more detailed and polished edits when needed. This role is focused on editing high-performing short-form content for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn, alongside longer-form edits including case studies, promo videos, presentations, and brand content.
You’ll be expected to work quickly, creatively, and with strong attention to detail. You should be highly confident using CapCut and Canva for fast-turn content, while also being comfortable using Adobe Premiere Pro for more advanced edits. Experience with After Effects or light animation is a strong advantage.
You should also be comfortable using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and other relevant AI-supported editing and workflow tools to support scripting, hook ideation, subtitle workflows, content structuring, and process efficiency — while ensuring final outputs are reviewed properly and meet brand and platform standards.
This is a key role within our India team and is fully based in our Gurgaon office, working closely with designers, strategists, account managers, and UK leadership.
Key ResponsibilitiesSocial-First Video Editing
Edit high-retention short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.
Create punchy edits with strong hooks, pacing, captions, subtitles, text overlays, and clear storytelling.
Understand how to keep videos engaging in the first few seconds and structure edits for retention and watch time.
Adapt content for different audiences, formats, and platforms while maintaining creative quality.
Longer-Form Editing & Brand Content
Edit longer-form videos including interviews, case studies, presentation videos, explainers, promotional edits, and internal brand content.
Use B-roll, supporting visuals, graphics, music, and transitions appropriately to improve the final output.
Balance speed and polish depending on the purpose of the content and the needs of the brief.
Captions, Text & Platform Delivery
Create and manage subtitles, captions, on-screen text, and burned-in text elements where required.
Ensure videos are exported correctly for different platform formats, including:
Deliver files with correct naming, organisation, codecs, and quality settings.
Maintain a high standard of platform readiness across all outputs.
Motion Graphics & Light Animation
Create simple animated text, lower-thirds, title sequences, transitions, and light motion elements where needed.
Support the wider creative team with basic motion graphics that improve video quality and clarity.
Collaborate with design where motion assets or branded elements are needed.
Audio, Visual Quality & Finishing
Carry out basic audio cleaning and balancing, including noise reduction, music levels, dialogue clarity, and overall polish.
Apply basic colour correction and grading to ensure videos are clear, consistent, and aligned with the intended brand look.
Ensure the final edit feels polished, balanced, and ready for use.
Thumbnails, Covers & Supporting Assets
Work with the design team on video thumbnails, covers, and supporting platform assets.
Export and prepare video variations where needed for different channels, placements, or client requirements.
Support consistency between the video content and surrounding visual assets.
File Management & Workflow
Organise footage, selects, project files, exports, and source assets in a clear and consistent way.
Maintain good project hygiene so files can be easily reviewed, reused, or handed over internally.
Help build and maintain a tidy video workflow across client work and internal content production.
Collaboration & Feedback
Work closely with social strategists, designers, account managers, and the wider team to turn briefs into strong video content.
Take feedback professionally and implement revisions accurately and efficiently.
Use project management and review tools to keep work moving and ensure deadlines are met.
AI-Assisted Editing Workflows
Use AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and other relevant AI-supported workflow tools to assist with:
- Hook ideation
- Content structuring
- Caption drafting
- Subtitle support
- Content summaries
- Workflow efficiency
Use AI to support speed and creative development, while ensuring all final edits remain human-led, brand-appropriate, and quality checked before delivery.
RequirementsMust-Haves
3+ years of experience editing video content for brands, creators, agencies, or social-first businesses.
A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating short-form social content and polished edits.
Strong command of CapCut and Canva for quick-turn content production.
Solid experience with Adobe Premiere Pro.
Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, retention, and short-form storytelling.
Experience with subtitles, captions, text overlays, and platform export best practices.
Strong organisation and file management skills.
Comfortable working full UK hours and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail and a reliable approach to delivery.
Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to support efficiency and content workflows.
Nice to Have
Experience with After Effects for motion graphics or animated text.
Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Audition.
Basic understanding of shot selection, filming needs, or capture planning.
Awareness of content performance metrics such as watch time, retention, and hook rate.
Experience working in an agency or fast-paced content environment.

Working Arrangement
This is a full-time, on-site role based in our Gurgaon office.
You’ll work closely with the India team while collaborating with UK leadership and wider creative teams.
The role requires full alignment with UK working hours, strong organisation, and the ability to work at pace while maintaining quality.
