Job Description:
Position: Lighting Design Engineer (LiAS & Specification Support)
Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
- Fresher or 2–3 years of experience in lighting design, lighting calculations, and lighting simulation.
Job Responsibilities
The selected candidate will support the LiAS (Lighting as a Service) and Specification team by preparing lighting designs, simulations, layouts, and technical documentation in accordance with project requirements and applicable lighting standards.
Technical Skills & Expertise
- Proficiency in DIALux Evo for:
- Lighting simulations and calculations.
- Lighting design optimization.
- Report generation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for:
- Preparation and modification of lighting layouts.
- Exporting finalized lighting designs.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft PowerPoint
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Importing client-provided AutoCAD layouts into DIALux Evo.
- Performing lighting simulations based on project requirements and applicable lighting standards.
- Ensuring compliance with:
- Required illumination (Lux) levels.
- Uniformity requirements.
- Lighting power density (LPD) and power budget targets.
- Using the provided luminaire selections and photometric (IES) files for lighting calculations.
- Generating comprehensive DIALux Evo calculation reports for all designated application areas.
- Exporting finalized lighting layouts from DIALux Evo to AutoCAD and preparing:
- Lighting layouts.
- Luminaire schedules.
- Bill of Quantities (BoQ).
- Preparing and consolidating lighting power budget calculations in Microsoft Excel.
- Completing and updating specification sheets using the provided templates.
- Incorporating client review comments and revisions within the specified timelines.
- Ensuring all project deliverables are completed accurately and submitted within agreed schedules.
Project Inputs Provided
The following information and resources will be provided by the project team:
- AutoCAD project layouts.
- Project application brief.
- Lighting design standards and application criteria.
- Luminaire selection details.
- Photometric (IES) files.
- Lighting power budget and density targets.
- Specification sheet templates.
- Project delivery timelines.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Daily work progress shall be monitored through Time Writing Reports.
- The reporting methodology will be explained during onboarding.
- A consolidated monthly Time Writing Report must be submitted for workload tracking and performance evaluation.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
