We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee our production operations. The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of production workers, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, and meeting production targets while maintaining high quality standards and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Reporting: Under Production Engineer Guidance, Manage and follow daily and weekly production schedules, assigning tasks to fitters, welders, and machine operators. Submit Daily production report.
- Process Oversight: Monitor fabrication operations—including cutting, assembling (fit-up), MIG welding, and finishing —to ensure zero bottlenecks.
- Quality Control: Conduct routine inspections of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished gratings to ensure they meet drawings and client specifications.
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of shop floor workers, and monitoring workforce attendance.
- Safety Enforcement: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing the use of PPE, monitoring equipment maintenance, and following industrial safety protocols.
- Inventory Management: Track usage of raw stock, welding consumables, and safety gear, coordinating with the procurement team to prevent stockouts.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3-7 years of supervisory or production experience in heavy engineering, steel or sheet metal fabrication, or a related metal fabrication sector. Grating Fabrication experience will be very highly welcomed/ advantageous.
- Technical Know-How: Familiarity or understanding knowledge of fabrication drawings, Raw material types, Cutting List, and Mig welding quality check . Familiarity with some or all - usage of EOT Crane, Power Press, Die Tools, CNC Press Brake, Roller-straightening machines, PLC control machine experience (Flat bar automatic cut to length machines), Hydraulic Press operations, knowledge of usage and maintenance desireable. Ability to get trained on control panel set up.
- Soft Skills: Strong conflict resolution, decision-making, and verbal communication skills to manage large worker's team on floor.
- Computer Literacy: MS Office, Email, Excell, Manufacturing inventory software entry
Pay: ₹12,500.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
