Job Title: Hostel Floor Warden

Job Summary:
The Hostel Floor Warden is responsible for maintaining discipline, safety, cleanliness, and the overall well-being of students residing on the assigned hostel floor. The warden ensures a secure, supportive, and nurturing environment while supervising students' daily routines and addressing their academic, emotional, and personal needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Supervision & Welfare
- Monitor students residing on the assigned hostel floor.
- Ensure students follow hostel rules, schedules, and code of conduct.
- Maintain discipline while promoting a caring and supportive environment.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students when required.
Safety & Security
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas.
- Ensure compliance with hostel safety regulations and emergency procedures.
- Maintain attendance records and verify student presence during roll calls.
- Report maintenance issues, security concerns, or emergencies promptly.
- Coordinate during fire drills and emergency evacuations.
Daily Operations
- Supervise students during wake-up, study hours, meal timings, recreation, and lights-out.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained on the assigned floor.
- Monitor proper use of hostel facilities and school property.
- Maintain daily logs of student activities, incidents, and observations.
Health & Well-being
- Monitor students' health and immediately report illness or injuries.
- Coordinate with the school nurse and hostel administration when medical attention is required.
- Ensure students follow prescribed medications and health instructions, where applicable.
- Promote healthy habits, hygiene, and personal responsibility.
Parent & Administration Coordination
- Communicate student-related concerns to the Chief Warden.
- Assist in coordinating parent visits and student leave permissions.
- Maintain accurate hostel records and documentation.
- Support hostel events, orientations, and student engagement activities.
Discipline & Behaviour Management
- Address behavioural issues promptly and fairly.
- Encourage positive behaviour and mutual respect among students.
- Implement hostel disciplinary procedures as per school policy.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in hostel management, residential schools, boarding schools, or student welfare.
- Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
