Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Fire Alarm System PA System, Access Control & IP CCTV Technician to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting access control systems, surveillance cameras, and related low-voltage electrical security systems. Your expertise will ensure the safety and security of our facilities by providing reliable system operation and exceptional technical support. Duties
- Install, configure, and service access control systems, including door security system integration and remote access software.
- Set up and maintain CCTV surveillance systems, including cameras, sensors, and video management software.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical security systems, low-voltage wiring, cabling, and computer hardware components.
- Interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and electrical drawings to accurately execute system design and installation.
- Conduct routine inspections of physical security equipment such as alarms, sensors, fire alarm systems, and telecommunication devices.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for system malfunctions or failures in alarm & access control systems.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and deliver tailored solutions while maintaining excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar role specializing in electrical security system installation and maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using power tools, hand tools, and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Familiarity with computer networking, remote access software, telecommunication systems, and surveillance technology such as IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems).
- Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpret low-voltage electrical wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems including cabling, sensors, fire alarms, door security system integration, and alarm system sales.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for equipment issues related to CCTV cameras, sensors, alarms, and other physical security components.
- Physical ability to perform installation tasks that may involve climbing ladders or working in confined spaces using power tools and hand tools.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical clients.
