Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Tandoor Cook to prepare a variety of tandoor dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen safety. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in operating a tandoor oven and preparing authentic Indian tandoori cuisine.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook tandoori dishes such as kebabs, tikka, naan, roti, and other tandoor specialties.
- Marinate meats, seafood, and vegetables according to recipes and standards.
- Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely and efficiently.
- Ensure food is prepared and served according to quality and presentation standards.
- Monitor food stock levels and inform management about inventory requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and tandoor section.
- Follow food safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in menu planning and development of new tandoor dishes when required.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tandoor Cook in a restaurant, hotel, or catering establishment.
- Knowledge of Indian tandoori cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and work near high-temperature cooking equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary training or relevant certification is an advantage.
- Experience in handling commercial tandoor ovens.
Working Hours
- Flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by business operations.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
