About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Level 1 AV Installer to join our growing audio-visual team. This is an entry-level role ideal for candidates eager to learn hands-on AV installation, cabling, and basic system setup. You will work under supervision while gaining the skills needed to progress to higher levels of AV installation expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute AV installations under supervision, including physical mounting of devices and displays.
- Pull and route cabling following project layouts and standards.
- Create cable and wire labels and maintain organized, clean installations.
- Assist with AV racking and basic device setup.
- Follow instructions from supervisors, engineers, and project leads.
- Identify obvious installation faults and report for resolution.
- Maintain daily operational updates and documentation of tasks.
- Uphold site safety and discipline, including proper handling of tools and equipment.
- Interact professionally with clients and on-site personnel.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of AV components and installation techniques.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, crimping, and soldering.
- Basic electrical and on-site safety awareness.
- Punctual, reliable, and willing to learn.
- Ability to take initiative while working under supervision.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality installation standards.
Preferred Training / Certifications
- Basic AV installation training.
- Safety training.
- On-site mentoring by senior technicians.
- Cable pulling, labeling, crimping, and soldering practice.
