Job Profile: Family Physician
Job Summary
A Family Physician provides comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered medical care to individuals and families across all ages, genders, and stages of life. The role involves diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, promoting preventive healthcare, managing long-term conditions, and coordinating patient care with specialists when necessary. Family Physicians build long-term relationships with patients and play a key role in improving overall community health.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide preventive healthcare services, including health screenings, immunizations, and lifestyle counseling.
- Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and cardiovascular conditions.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, nutrition, exercise, and healthy living.
- Perform minor medical procedures within the scope of family medicine.
- Interpret laboratory and diagnostic test results.
- Refer patients to specialists and coordinate follow-up care when required.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate care when necessary.
Qualifications
- MD or DNB
- Completion of residency or postgraduate training in Family Medicine.
- Valid medical license and registration with the appropriate medical council.
- Board certification or equivalent certification in Family Medicine (preferred where applicable).

Experience
- Fresh graduates with appropriate training may be considered.
- Preferred: 2–5 years of experience in family medicine, primary care, or general practice.
Pay: Up to ₹150,000.00 per month
