Job Description :
To ensure efficient packaging, handling, storage, and dispatch of finished goods while maintaining product safety, quality standards, and on-time delivery commitments.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Packing Operations
Plan and supervise daily packing activities as per dispatch schedule
Ensure correct packaging standards, labeling, photography and documentation
Optimize packaging materials to minimize cost and damage
Monitor packing productivity and reduce wastage
Handling dispatch planning for high-volume & heavy components
2. Dispatch & Logistics Coordination
Coordinate with transporters for timely vehicle placement
Prepare dispatch documents as per organization guidelines
Ensure timely dispatch as per customer delivery schedules
Track shipments and update stakeholders on delivery status
3. Inventory & Warehouse Management
Ensure Layout planning, proper storage and space utilization
Maintain stock accuracy of finished goods and packing materials
Implement FIFO practices
Implement Barcode / RFID scanning systems
Conduct periodic stock audits and reconciliation
4. Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with packaging standards and customer specifications
Follow safety norms while handling and movement of goods
Adhere to ISO / EHS / Statutory Requirements
Monitor and control damage/return rates & conditions
5. Process Improvement
Identify opportunities for cost reduction in packaging and transport
Improve loading / unloading efficiency
Support automation or digitization initiatives (WMS, barcode systems)
6. Coordination & Communication
Work closely with PMG, PPC, Production, Stores, & Quality departments
Handle transporter and 3rd Party Logistics vendor coordination
Resolve dispatch-related issues proactively
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of packaging materials and methods
Understanding of logistics and transportation processes
ERP usage
Documentation and compliance knowledge
Soft Skills:
Strong coordination and communication skills
Problem-solving and decision-making ability
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
