About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Optical Design Engineer with 2–3 years of experience to join our development team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, optimizing, testing and integration of the optical systems for cutting-edge technology applications including imaging systems, photonics products, Laser Communication, and Laser-based sensor systems etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop optical systems (lenses, mirrors, laser optics)
- Work on laser communication systems and laser-based sensors
- Perform optical system design, simulation, and tolerancing (Zemax / Code V / LightTools)
- Analyse and optimise the optical performance (MTF, aberrations, stray light)
- Optimize beam propagation and alignment in laser systems
- Responsible for prototyping, testing, system alignment, and integration
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech / M.Tech in: Applied Optics / Optical Engineering / Photonics / Optics & Optoelectronics / Engineering Physics
- 2–3 years of experience in optical design
- Proficiency in optical design tools (Zemax, Code V, etc.)
- Programming (Python / MATLAB) for data analysis
- Basic understanding of opto-mechanical integration and CAD tools
- Exposure to laser systems, photonics products, or optical sensing
- Strong fundamentals in geometrical & physical optics
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- High attention to detail and precision
Preferred Skills
- Experience in laser communication / LiDAR / free-space optics
- Knowledge of laser-based sensors and photonics technologies
- Understanding of Gaussian optics, beam shaping, and propagation
- Familiarity with optical testing, alignment equipment and lab instruments

Working Days : Mon-Fri - 9 AM to 5:30 PM,
Sat- 9 am to 2 pm, 3rd Sat every month is off
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
