* Perform routine checks, cleaning, and preventive maintenance of precision instruments.
* Maintain logbooks, usage records, and instrument history files as per ISO 13485 & GMP requirements.
* Conduct instrument qualification and verification (IQ/OQ/PQ) for new and existing QC equipment.
* Troubleshoot instrument issues and coordinate with service engineers/vendors for timely repairs.
* Ensure instruments are operated as per SOPs and regulatory compliance standards.
* Train QC staff on proper operation, care, and handling of measuring instruments.
* Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, vibration) impacting instrument accuracy.
* Maintain spare parts, accessories, and consumables inventory for critical QC instruments.
* Prepare instruments and related documentation for internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
* Suggest improvements, upgrades, or new instruments to enhance testing accuracy and reliability.
Key Skills & Requirements:
* Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Biomedical/Production) or related field.
* 1–3 years of experience in QC/Instrument handling within the medical device or related industry.
* Strong knowledge of QC instruments (UTM, Profile Projector, Hardness Tester, CMM, Microscopes).
* Familiarity with ISO 13485, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
* Good troubleshooting, documentation, and reporting skills.
* Ability to train and support QC team members in instrument usage.
