We are seeking an experienced and proactive AWS Cloud Support Engineer with 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability, security, and performance of our cloud environment while providing technical support to internal engineering teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Incident Management
- Serve as an escalation point for complex cloud infrastructure issues, performing root-cause analysis (RCA) and implementing permanent resolutions.
- Troubleshoot system outages, performance bottlenecks, and network connectivity issues across AWS services.
- Maintain and improve SLA response times for high-priority incidents and service requests.
Infrastructure Monitoring & Maintenance
- Monitor system health, performance metrics, and logs using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Datadog, or Prometheus.
- Manage compute instances (EC2), storage (S3, EBS, EFS), databases (RDS, DynamoDB), and networking components (VPC, Route 53, ALB/NLB).
- Execute routine maintenance tasks, patch management, and OS upgrades across Linux and Windows instances.
Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Write and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline operational workflows.
- Provision and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Assist in maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Security, Compliance & Cost Optimization
- Implement and enforce AWS security best practices using IAM, Security Groups, NACLs, KMS, and AWS Shield/WAF.
- Monitor cloud costs, analyze utilization metrics, and implement cost-saving initiatives (e.g., Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, resource rightsizing).
- Ensure cloud infrastructure complies with internal security standards and industry regulations.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), architecture diagrams, and runbooks.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with development, security, and product teams to streamline cloud deployment processes.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of dedicated experience in cloud administration, cloud technical support, or DevOps engineering, focusing heavily on AWS ecosystems.
- Core AWS Services: Deep hands-on knowledge of core AWS technologies including EC2, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, ALB, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Route 53, CloudFront, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
- OS & System Administration: Strong Linux/Unix (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, RedHat) and/or Windows Server administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Networking & Protocols: Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Subnetting, NAT, Load Balancing, BGP).
- IaC & Scripting: Demonstrated proficiency with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, along with scripting experience in Python or Bash.

- Communication: Clear oral and written communication skills to articulate technical details to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of serverless architecture (AWS Lambda, API Gateway).
- Familiarity with ITIL practices (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
- Professional-level AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional).
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
