Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Freight Forwarder to manage and coordinate international import and export shipments on behalf of our Middle East-based operations. The role involves handling global freight movements across air, sea, and road transportation modes, ensuring timely delivery, regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and excellent customer service.
The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for carriers, agents, customs brokers, suppliers, and customers worldwide while working remotely from India.
Key Responsibilities
Shipment Coordination
- Manage end-to-end international freight forwarding operations for import and export shipments.
- Coordinate air freight, ocean freight (FCL/LCL), and road transport shipments.
- Arrange bookings with shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies, and overseas agents.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays or operational issues.
- Ensure timely collection, consolidation, and delivery of cargo.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare, review, and process shipping documents including:
- Bill of Lading (B/L)
- Air Waybill (AWB)
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Certificate of Origin
- Delivery Orders
- Customs documentation
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
- Coordinate with customs brokers and clearance agents to facilitate smooth cargo clearance.
Customer & Vendor Management
- Serve as the primary contact for customers regarding shipment status and logistics requirements.
- Provide shipment updates, milestone reports, and exception management.
- Liaise with overseas agents, freight carriers, warehouses, and transport providers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners globally.
Pricing & Commercial Activities
- Obtain freight quotations from carriers and agents.
- Prepare competitive pricing proposals and freight cost estimates.
- Negotiate freight rates and service agreements where applicable.
- Monitor shipment profitability and cost optimization opportunities.
Tracking & Reporting
- Track shipments using transportation management systems and carrier platforms.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and operational reports.
- Generate KPI reports related to transit times, costs, and service performance.
- Update internal systems with shipment milestones and documentation.
Problem Resolution
- Investigate shipment discrepancies, delays, damages, or claims.
- Coordinate corrective actions with carriers and service providers.
- Ensure customer issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in freight forwarding, international logistics, or supply chain operations in Middle East operations.
- Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and international shipping regulations.
- Experience handling air, sea, and road freight operations.
- Familiarity with Incoterms, customs procedures, and international trade documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with freight forwarding software, ERP systems, or transportation management systems is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Pay: ₹17,535.39 - ₹30,162.04 per month
