Summary:
As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, you will provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products both remote and onsite. You will work within a defined operating model and processes, implementing technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas.
Primary skill:
- Expertise in managing & administering Nutanix AHV & virtualized infrastructure, including Nutanix Prism, cluster management, VM operations, and associated technologies along with Team management.
Additional skill:
Experience in automation using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Nutanix Calm. Exposure to other virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V and cloud platforms such as Azure.
Key responsibilities:
- Administration of a large-scale Nutanix AHV environment, including Prism Central, clusters, and virtual machines.
- Responsible for the setup, configuration, and management of Nutanix clusters and AHV hypervisors. Implement and manage high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies within the AHV ecosystem.
- Perform routine patching, upgrades, and capacity planning for Nutanix AHV infrastructure.
- Team management Skill.

- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and support of business applications.
- Document troubleshooting processes and solutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of support procedures and system monitoring tools.
- Provide timely updates and clear communication to stakeholders regarding issue status and resolution progress.
Technical experience:
- Proficient in Nutanix AHV components, including Prism, Data Protection, and Self-Service Restore. Hands-on experience in deploying and managing Nutanix clusters and virtual environments.
- Skilled in storage management, replication, and disaster recovery configurations.
- Expertise in troubleshooting performance issues, virtual networking, and storage integration (e.g., NFS, iSCSI).
- Familiar with Nutanix automation tools like Calm or scripting for task automation.
- Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Nutanix Administration.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Vmware Virtualization Administration.
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies and infrastructure management.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning in virtualized environments.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts and best practices.
