Job Description – IT Manager
Job Summary : The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing the organization's IT infrastructure, network security, IT asset management, telecom services, end-user support, and vendor relationships. The role requires ensuring the availability, security, and efficiency of IT systems while driving operational excellence and supporting business objectives through effective technology management.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
IT Operations Management
- Manage and oversee day-to-day IT operations across the organization.
- Ensure smooth functioning of all IT systems, hardware, software, networks, and communication infrastructure.
- Establish and monitor IT service standards, support processes, and operational KPIs.
- Lead and mentor the IT support team to deliver high-quality services.
IT Asset Management
- Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, tracking, and disposal.
- Maintain accurate records of hardware, software licenses, and IT inventory.
- Conduct regular asset audits and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Optimize IT asset utilization and cost efficiency.
Network & Security Management
- Administer and monitor firewalls, VPNs, internet connectivity, and network security solutions.
- Ensure network availability, performance, and security across all locations.
- Implement cybersecurity controls, access management, and endpoint security measures.
- Coordinate security assessments, vulnerability management, and compliance activities.
- Develop and enforce IT security policies and best practices.
Telecom & Mobility Management
- Oversee corporate SIM card and mobile device management.
- Coordinate with telecom service providers for new connections, upgrades, billing, and issue resolution.
- Monitor telecom usage and optimize costs through effective vendor management.
End-User Support & Infrastructure
- Ensure timely resolution of user issues related to hardware, software, network, and communication systems.
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Manage user account provisioning, access rights, and onboarding/offboarding activities.
- Ensure regular backups, software updates, and preventive maintenance activities.
Vendor & Procurement Management
- Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and telecom partners.
- Evaluate, negotiate, and monitor vendor performance and service agreements.
- Support IT procurement activities, including hardware, software, and service acquisitions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure Management, or IT Support, with leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, firewall management, and cybersecurity practices.
- Experience in IT asset management, telecom management, and vendor coordination.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows environments, and network technologies.
Preferred Certifications
- ITIL Foundation
- CCNA or equivalent networking certification
- Fortinet / Sophos / Palo Alto Firewall Certification
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or equivalent
- Information Security-related certifications are an added advantage
