Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Manager – Banking to manage and coordinate banking operations, financial products and services, and relationships with banks and financial service providers.
The candidate will be responsible for acting as the key financial liaison between the organization and banking institutions, managing banking documentation, reconciliations, financial statements, banking products, LC/BG, EXIM-related activities and other banking transactions.
Key Responsibilities1. Banking & Financial Liaison
- Work closely with banks and financial service providers for availing, utilizing and managing various financial products and services.
- Act as the primary financial liaison between the organization and banks/financial institutions.
- Coordinate with bank authorities for:
- Documentation
- Verification
- Discrepancy clarification
- Service and capital procurement
- Timely submission of required documents
- Responding to banking-related queries and inquiries
- Consolidate all bank statements on a daily basis.
- Ensure timely and accurate accounting of:
- Bank Interest
- Bank Charges
- Prepaid Interest
- TDS on Interest
- Accrued Interest
- Prepare and submit monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
- Track, analyse and report bank account interests, commissions and charges.
- Coordinate with banks and financial service providers for timely submission of periodic QIS formats and other monthly/quarterly statements as per regulatory requirements and departmental SOPs.
- Consolidate and maintain documentation related to short-term and long-term liabilities.
- Calculate and report the company's periodic Drawing Power.
- Update transaction entries in SAP and other internal reporting systems within defined timelines.
- Provide required documents, reports and other banking-related information to senior and top management.
2. Financial Products & Banking Services
- Coordinate with the Raw Material, Purchase and Stores Departments for EXIM-related banking activities.
- Handle coordination related to:
- EXIM transactions
- Letter of Credit (LC)
- Bank Guarantees (BG)
- LC documentation
- Approvals
- Commission validation
- Submission of documents
- Eventual payments
- Create and renew e-payment agreements with railway freight for rack supply of relevant raw materials.
- Support the Assistant Manager – LC/BG/Hedging in coordinating and executing Dollar-Rupee conversion and related transactions.
- Ensure proper documentation, approvals and timely execution of banking transactions.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- Master's degree will be preferred.
Required Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in banking/finance operations.
- Candidates with experience in a similar role from the Steel, Metals or Manufacturing industry will be preferred.
Functional Skills
- Excellent knowledge and practical experience in managing banking products and services.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, processes, standards, regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong financial data analysis and reporting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies and take appropriate decisions.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as:
- SAP
- Tally
- GST Portals
- Good knowledge of bank reconciliation, interest calculations, banking charges and financial transactions.
- Knowledge of LC, BG, EXIM and hedging-related banking processes will be important for the role.
