About the Role
Kwik Kopy is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer / Pre-Press Production Specialist to support our growing print, signage, and marketing business.
This position is best suited to someone with strong graphic design skills and extensive pre-print production knowledge. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, checking, converting, and optimising artwork files for commercial print production while maintaining excellent communication with our Melbourne-based team.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify artwork according to client requirements.
- Prepare and convert files into print-ready formats.
- Perform pre-flight checks on artwork before production.
- Ensure correct bleed, trim marks, colour profiles, resolution, and file specifications.
- Prepare files for digital printing, wide-format printing, signage, and promotional products.
- Communicate with our team regarding artwork requirements, revisions, and production deadlines.
- Maintain accurate file management and workflow processes.
- Ensure all artwork meets commercial printing standards.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in graphic design and pre-print production.
- Strong understanding of commercial print processes and print-ready file preparation.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and communication skills. (Must be able able to communicate in English)
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
- Availability during Australian business hours (9:30 AM – 5:30 PM Melbourne time).
Technical Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Their own computer/workstation capable of handling graphic design tasks.
- Their own licensed graphic design software.
- A reliable high-speed internet connection.
- A reliable phone connection for communication during business hours.
