Financial Assistant – QuickBooks Online Specialist
Office Location: Phase 8B, Mohali (On-Site)
Shift Timing: 6:00 PM – 3:00 AM (Night Shift)
Experience: At least 2-3 years of Bookkeeping with QuickBooks Online
Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Financial Assistant to support accounting operations for our Canadian hotel group. The role requires strong expertise in QuickBooks Online, with responsibilities spanning bookkeeping, reconciliations, vendor and customer payments, payroll support, and financial reporting.
Candidates with prior hospitality accounting experience will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online, including daily entries and adjustments.
- Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Manage vendor invoices, payments, and resolve discrepancies.
- Record deposits, reconcile hotel system reports, and monitor receivables.
- Assist with payroll processing and compliance filings.
- Prepare weekly/monthly financial reports and support budgeting.
- Coordinate with managers, accountants, and auditors to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of bookkeeping experience using QuickBooks Online.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with confidentiality and accuracy.
Preferred Background
- Hotel or hospitality accounting experience.
- Familiarity with Canadian accounting practices and GST/HST filings.
- Exposure to hotel PMS/POS systems.
- Experience managing multiple business entities.
- QuickBooks Online Certification (an asset).
