Own internal warehousing and inventory control end to end — receiving, storage, stock accuracy and internal material movement — across bulk storage, vertical racking and assembly stores. This is a stock-control and warehouse-management role, not a logistics or supply chain planning role.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain SKU-wise and bin-wise inventory accuracy of 99%+ through a disciplined cycle-count programme
- Control ageing and surplus stock; publish stock value and ageing buckets weekly
- Investigate and close stock discrepancies at root cause; own shrinkage, damage and write-off control
- Plan warehouse layout and slotting on ABC/velocity basis — racking, bin allocation, capacity and space utilisation
- Manage inbound receiving: GRN, quantity and quality check, same-day put-away, container unloading planning
- Control internal stock movement and transfers between storage areas, divisions and the assembly unit with proper documentation
- Maintain SKU and barcode master hygiene; ensure every unit in the building is located and traceable
- Operate the company's WMS/inventory systems as primary user; enforce barcode scanning and accurate data entry
- Supervise, roster and train the inwarding, stores and stock-control team; build second-line supervisors
- Ensure housekeeping, 5S and safety compliance across the warehouse
Key Performance Indicators
- Inventory record accuracy (SKU and bin level)
- Stock ageing — percentage above 90 and 180 days
- Inventory value and turns
- GRN and put-away turnaround time
- Shrinkage and damage as a percentage of stock value
- Storage space utilisation
Requirements
- 7–10 years in warehouse operations and inventory control, with at least 3 years leading a team and holding full site responsibility
- Experience in a high-SKU, high-volume warehouse — e-commerce or quick-commerce fulfilment centre, FMCG or retail distribution warehouse, 3PL or consumer goods storage
- Hands-on with WMS/ERP systems, barcode scanning, cycle counting, ABC analysis and racking/layout planning
- Proven record of improving stock accuracy or reducing aged and surplus inventory in a live warehouse
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Graduate; warehouse or inventory management certification an advantage
- Fluent in Hindi/Punjabi with working English
