We are looking for an experienced and proactive Assistant Store Manager for our ongoing Tunnel Construction Project. The candidate will be responsible for supporting overall store operations, inventory control, material management, and coordination with site execution teams to ensure uninterrupted project activities.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day store operations at the project site.
- Maintain proper records of inward and outward material movement.
- Ensure timely receipt, storage, and issuance of construction materials, tools, consumables, and spare parts.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement/site teams for material requirements.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock verification and reconciliation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports and MIS statements.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, and preservation of materials.
- Coordinate with project engineers, mechanical teams, and vendors for material dispatch and receipt.
- Maintain documentation related to GRN, delivery challans, issue slips, and inventory registers.
- Ensure compliance with company store procedures, safety standards, and audit requirements.
- Support Store Manager in minimizing material wastage and controlling inventory losses.
- Handle ERP/store software entries and maintain updated inventory data.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Diploma / Graduate in any discipline.
- Experience in construction, infrastructure, tunnel, hydro, railway, or underground projects preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory management and store documentation.
- Familiarity with ERP/store management systems will be an added advantage.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work at remote project locations.
Experience Required
- 3–8 Years of relevant experience in construction project stores.
