Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced AWS Consultant with Databricks expertise to design, build, and lead the delivery of scalable cloud-based data solutions for our Pharma business. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on cloud architecture skills with domain knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and has proven experience leading technical teams through complex delivery engagements.
Key Responsibilities

Architect and implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data pipelines and solutions on AWS and Databricks

Design and optimize end-to-end cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services such as Glue, SageMaker, S3, EC2, ECS, and Neptune

Build and optimize data engineering pipelines using SQL, Python, and PySpark
-
Establish and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, leveraging GitHub for version control and automation
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data science, business, product) to translate Pharma business requirements — including forecasting use cases — into technical solutions

Lead the technical delivery of projects, ensuring solutions meet quality, performance, and scalability standards

Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and management to a team of engineers/consultants

Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards relevant to the Pharma industry

Engage with stakeholders to present architecture decisions, project updates, and technical roadmaps
Required Skills & Experience
-
6 – 10 years of overall experience in data engineering / cloud architecture roles

Mandatory: Prior experience working in the Pharma / Life Sciences industry

Good to have: Experience with forecasting models or solutions (demand forecasting, sales forecasting, etc.)

Strong hands-on experience building scalable pipelines and data-based solutions on AWS and Databricks

Deep expertise in core AWS services: Glue, SageMaker, S3, EC2, ECS, Neptune (or equivalent graph/ML/compute/storage services) and in Databricks

Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps tools, with working knowledge of GitHub

Proven experience architecting end-to-end cloud solutions

Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark

Demonstrated experience leading delivery of technical solutions and managing teams

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills

AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, or Data Analytics Specialty)

Databricks certifications

Experience with graph databases (Neptune) for relationship-driven data models

Exposure to MLOps practices, model deployment pipelines, Development of AI agents, NLP chatbots
