Job Description: Lead SAP FICA & AR Data Migration Consultant (ECC to S/4HANA) Location: [Bangalore/Mumbai preferred] Position Type: [Contract] Experience Required: 10+ Years Position Overview We are looking for a senior Lead SAP FICA & AR Data Migration Consultant with 10+ years of hands-on experience to lead the Contract Accounts Receivable (FICA) and Accounts Receivable (FI-AR) data migration stream for our enterprise SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA transformation project. This role requires a deep functional and technical understanding of FICA sub-ledger architecture, Customer-Vendor Integration (CVI), and specialized AR data conversion strategies. You will design, execute, and validate the complete migration lifecycle for FICA master data, customer accounts, and complex open-item balances from legacy ECC environments into S/4HANA. Key Responsibilities FICA & AR Data Migration Strategy Migration Strategy & Design: Formulate and document the end-to-end data migration architecture for FICA and FI-AR in an ECC to S/4HANA project (Greenfield, Brownfield, or Selective Data Transition). Master Data Synchronization (CVI): Lead the mapping and conversion of legacy Customer/Debtor accounts and Contract Accounts into S/4HANA Business Partners (BP), ensuring alignment across FICA and FI-AR configurations. FICA AR Open Item Migration: Design extraction and loading rules for FICA open items, installment plans, security deposits, and credit balances. Manage legacy clearing histories, dunning histories, and collection agency status transfers. Address cross-subledger migration dependencies between FI-AR and FICA where applicable. FICA Configurations: Configure core FI-CA functionalities for implementation projects —such as Payments, Dunning, and Clearing Control—and provide daily BAU support to troubleshoot production issues and ensure operational stability. Technical Execution & Tooling Migration Execution: Hands-on development and execution of data conversion using SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit (LTMC / Migrate Your Data), EMIGALL, SAP BODS, BAPIs, and custom ABAP extraction scripts. Mock Migration Cycles: Lead multiple mock data loads, performance optimization runs, and volume testing for large-scale financial datasets. Data Cleansing & Readiness: Coordinate with business stakeholders to perform legacy data scrubbing, archiving of obsolete FICA/AR records, and pre-migration S/4HANA checks. Reconciliation, Auditability & Cutover Financial Reconciliation: Design and implement stringent pre- and post-migration reconciliation frameworks between legacy ECC FICA/FI-AR sub-ledgers, GL accounts, and S/4HANA Universal Journal (ACDOCA). Cutover Management: Plan, schedule, and execute delta data migrations and final go-live cutover activities within tight system downtime windows. Defect Resolution: Rapidly diagnose and resolve complex data transformation, validation, and post-load posting errors. Required Qualifications & Technical Expertise Experience: 10+ years of core functional and technical experience in SAP FICA and SAP FI-AR. Migration Track Record: Proven leadership in at least 2 full lifecycle SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration projects, specifically managing FICA and AR data conversion streams. FICA & AR Domain Mastery: Deep understanding of FICA sub-ledger concepts including posting specifications, clearing rules, dunning, payment runs, write-offs, GL integration, and FI-AR customer sub-ledger mapping. Data Migration Tooling: Advanced expertise in SAP Migration Cockpit, EMIGALL, SAP BODS, LSMW, and standard FICA BAPIs/Function Modules. Strong knowledge of Customer-Vendor Integration (CVI) for converting classic AR customers to S/4HANA Business Partners. Data Structure & Database Knowledge: Deep technical familiarity with key FICA tables (e.g., DFKKOP, DFKKKO, FKKVKP, DFKKCOLL) and FI-AR tables (e.g., KNB1, KNVV, BSID, BSAD). Reconciliation Expertise: Demonstrated track record of executing financial tie-outs and audit-compliant reconciliations for high-volume transactional data. Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills Experience in industry-specific solutions such as Utilities (IS-U), BRIM / SOM, Telecommunications, or Insurance (FS-CD). Hands-on familiarity with Selective Data Transition (SDT) tools (e.g., SNP CrystalBridge/Glue, Natuvion, or SAP DMLT). Ability to read and debug ABAP code to isolate migration errors and work directly with technical developers.
