Job Summary
The Purchase & Store Assistant is responsible for supporting procurement activities and ensuring efficient store operations. The role involves purchasing raw materials and consumables, maintaining inventory records, receiving and issuing materials, coordinating with suppliers and internal departments, and ensuring uninterrupted availability of materials for production while maintaining accurate documentation and stock control.
Key ResponsibilitiesPurchase Responsibilities
- Raise purchase requisitions and prepare purchase orders as approved.
- Source quotations from approved suppliers and compare prices, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Procure raw materials such as paper, paperboard, kraft paper, duplex board, films, inks, adhesives, laminates, chemicals, printing plates, packaging materials, and maintenance consumables.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with production, planning, quality, and accounts departments regarding procurement requirements.
- Verify supplier invoices, delivery challans, and purchase documentation.
- Maintain supplier records, purchase files, and procurement reports.
- Assist in vendor evaluation and supplier performance monitoring.
Store Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantity, quality, and documentation against purchase orders.
- Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and update inventory records in the ERP system.
- Issue materials to production based on approved material requisitions.
- Maintain proper storage, identification, and organization of raw materials, finished goods, consumables, and spare parts.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the Purchase Manager of reorder requirements.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and assist with physical inventory counts.
- Maintain accurate stock registers and inventory reports.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage, wastage, or deterioration
- Ensure housekeeping, safety, and compliance within the store area.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, stores, or inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing, printing, or packaging environment.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
