Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced AS/400 Architect with 10–15 years of experience in IBM i (AS/400) technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in RPG, COBOL, DB2, Control Language (CL), and Java, along with hands-on experience in maintaining and modernizing legacy AS/400 applications. Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data integration, SQL optimization, and scripting is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance applications on IBM AS/400 (IBM i).
- Develop and support applications using RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, ILE RPG, and COBOL.
- Create and optimize DB2 SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Develop and maintain Control Language (CL) programs and automation scripts.
- Design, build, and support ETL/ELT workflows for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Integrate AS/400 applications with modern platforms using Java and scripting technologies.
- Troubleshoot production issues, analyze root causes, and optimize application performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and improve data processing.
- Support data migration, batch processing, and database optimization initiatives.
- Follow best practices for version control, documentation, and application support.
