PLANT PURCHASING MANAGER
A purpose driven role for you
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
1. SCM Interface Leadership: Lead the supply chain management interface to meet on-time delivery goals in sequence with the production plan.
2. Policy & Share Governance: Secure part procurement according to the allocated share of business while adhering to established policies and procedures.
3. Process & Flow Transformation: Drive the implementation of electronic material flows (e-Material flow) and optimize end-to-end process efficiency.
A Day in the life
You will be working on day-to-day basis on following:
1. Demand Fulfillment: Managing monthly domestic vehicle production and daily SKU scheduling according to the Share of Business (SOB).
2. Launch Excellence: Overseeing the flawless launch of new vehicle models across domestic and global business lines.
3. Quality Upgradation: Directing continuous supplier quality performance enhancements, ECN timelines, and parts traceability for CTQ components.
4. Operational Audits: Enforcing compliance across internal and external process audits to ensure zero non-conformance.
5. Inventory Control: Tracking Inventory Turn-off Ratio (ITR) targets, managing norms, and preventing cost losses via obsolescence control during changeovers.
6. Cross-Functional Synergy: Partnering with PPC for plan balancing, Stores for vehicle TAT, and SQA for monthly 4M restoration activities.
7. Talent Development: Driving competency improvement, job rotation matrix tracking, and succession planning for the team.
Academic Qualification & Experience
1.Education: B-Tech / B.E, along with an MBA.
2.Experience: 15–18 Years of experience across supply chain and operations.
Technical Skills/Knowledge
1.Supply Chain Management: Deep domain expertise in tracking large-scale direct material pipelines and e-material flow parameters.
2.Operations & Flow Control: Strong understanding of schedule adherence, window times, and high-volume plant manufacturing parameters.
3.Program Management: Proven competence in steering complex project plans, new product launches, and TPM frameworks.
4.Advanced SCM Analytics: Ability to leverage advanced data analytics for tracking inventory turn ratios and material metrics.
5.Quality Framework Auditing: Mastery of supplier quality systems, 4M restoration activities, and process compliance evaluations.

1.Leadership: Proven ability to direct large organizational streams, guide managers, and develop career progression plans.
2.Strategic Thinking: Capacity to align local operational networks with broader procurement strategies and macroeconomic targets.
