Job Summary
The Drone Instructor will be responsible for conducting theoretical and practical drone training sessions, mentoring students, ensuring compliance with DGCA regulations, and promoting safe drone operations. The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of UAV systems, flight operations, drone assembly, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and practical training on drone technology and UAV operations.
- Conduct drone flying demonstrations, simulator training, and hands-on flight sessions.
- Train students on drone assembly, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Teach DGCA regulations, airspace rules, flight safety procedures, and mission planning.
- Evaluate student performance through practical assessments and flight tests.
- Maintain flight logs, training records, and equipment documentation.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards during all drone operations.
- Assist in organizing drone workshops, awareness programs, competitions, and industry events.
- Support research and innovation projects related to UAV applications.
- Keep updated with the latest developments in drone technology and government regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Aviation, or related disciplines.
- DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate (Preferred).
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in drone operations, drone training, or UAV projects.
- Strong knowledge of drone hardware, flight controllers, sensors, and mission planning software.
- Understanding of DGCA Drone Rules and aviation safety standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in drone surveying, mapping, agriculture, inspection, and aerial photography.
- Knowledge of GIS, photogrammetry, and drone data processing software.
- Experience conducting workshops and training programs.
- Ability to develop training content, manuals, and practical exercises.
- Passion for teaching and student development.
