Job Description – Pre-Primary Teacher (Mid day Batch - 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM)
Role Overview
The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for young learners. The role involves planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons that promote holistic development — cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical skills.
Key Responsibilities1. Curriculum Planning & Execution
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum guidelines.
- Conduct engaging circle time, storytelling, phonics readiness, numeracy readiness, rhymes, and activity-based sessions.
- Integrate play-based and experiential learning strategies.
- Prepare teaching aids, worksheets, and learning materials.
2. Classroom Management
- Create a warm, inclusive, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Ensure safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
- Establish routines and positive behavior management strategies.
3. Student Development
- Observe and assess students’ developmental milestones.
- Maintain anecdotal records and portfolios.
- Identify learning gaps and provide individualized attention.
- Support social and emotional development.
4. Parent Communication
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings.
- Share regular updates on child progress.
- Address parent queries and concerns professionally.
5. Events & Activities
- Participate in school events, celebrations, and special assemblies.
- Organize classroom displays and thematic activities.
- Support field trips and experiential learning activities.
6. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain attendance records and student files.
- Complete assessment reports on time.
- Follow school policies and early childhood education standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Qualification
- Graduate with Diploma / Certification in Early Childhood Education (ECE) / NTT / Montessori Training. (Mandatory)
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in pre-primary / early years (preferred).
