We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of all mechanical rides, equipment, and infrastructure within the amusement park. The role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to respond quickly to ride-related issues to ensure guest safety and smooth park operations.
Key Responsibilities : Ride & Equipment Maintenance
- Perform regular inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical rides and attractions.
- Ensure all rides comply with safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and statutory regulations.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs and inspection reports for all rides.
- Monitor ride safety systems and ensure safe operation throughout the day.
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions immediately.
- Ensure compliance with state amusement park safety rules and engineering standards.
- Assist in annual audits and certifications of rides.
- Coordinate with ride operators for smooth functioning and quick issue resolution.
- Respond to breakdowns or emergency shutdowns and restore operations promptly.
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new rides and equipment.
Technical & Administrative Duties
- Maintain mechanical equipment inventory, spare parts stock, and maintenance tools.
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance schedules, and documentation.
- Work with vendors and manufacturers for ride parts, technical support, and upgrades.
- Guide and supervise maintenance technicians and helpers.
- Work closely with the Electrical, Civil, Safety, and Operations teams for cross-functional tasks.
- Provide training on ride handling, safety measures, and emergency protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Mechanical Engineering.
- 15 years of experience in mechanical maintenance (experience in amusement parks, rides, or industrial machinery preferred).
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear systems, and mechanical controls.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-pressure situations.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and during emergencies.
- Outdoor and indoor work across various ride locations.
- Physically demanding role involving inspections, repairs, and quick response to breakdowns.
