Job Description (JD) – Engineer, Sr. Engineer (NPD – New Product Development)
Job Title:
Senior Engineer – New Product Development (NPD)
Experience: - 3 to 5 years
Automotive / Sheet Metal / Fabrication / Manufacturing
Job Summary
NPD is responsible for leading new product development activities from RFQ to mass production. The role involves customer interaction, feasibility analysis, APQP execution, prototype development, tooling coordination, process development, and ensuring timely PPAP submission while meeting quality and delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities
Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
Conduct manufacturing feasibility studies and prepare feasibility reports.
Prepare product RFQ activities.
Develop manufacturing process flow and process planning.
Coordinate with Design, Tool Room, Production, Quality, Purchase, and Suppliers.
Lead prototype development and sample submission.
Prepare and maintain APQP documents:
Process Flow Diagram (PFD)
PFMEA
Control Plan
Work Instructions
Process Validation Reports
Coordinate tooling development and trial activities.
Plan and execute PPAP submissions.
Ensure customer-specific requirements are implemented.
Conduct Design Reviews and Process Reviews.
Drive value engineering and cost reduction initiatives.
Resolve technical issues during product development.
Support product launch and SOP (Start of Production).
Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions.
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and customer quality requirements.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
