Team & Project: RD/ IDV & CAE Passive Safety (Crash)
Job Description:
Ø Perform full vehicle model build up starting from meshing using Ansa
Ø Independently perform full vehicle crash simulations for various regulatory and rating loadcases – frontal, side, rear and rollover loadcases
Ø Perform component/sub-system level quasistatic simulations such as seat, door and roof loadcases
Ø Interpret simulation results, develop countermeasures and drive design optimization and improvements
Ø Perform detailed post-test analysis and correlation of simulation results with physical tests
Ø Prepare extensive technical reports based on CAE evaluations and present them in various forums
Ø Work closely with cross functional teams like Design, Manufacturing and Testing to develop technically feasible solutions and countermeasures
Qualification:
Ø Education: B. Tech/ M. Tech
Ø Stream: Mechanical/ Automotive
Ø Number of years’ experience: 6+ years
Tool Know-How
Expert knowledge of explicit solver – LS-Dyna
Strong Hands-on expertise in Ansa. Know-how of Primer will be an added advantage
Proficiency in post-processors like Meta-post or Animator
Technical Know-How
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and Finite element analysis
Knowledge of Automotive crash structures and energy management, materials and joining methods
Basic knowledge of cross functional attributes like NVH and Durability
Product Know-How
Working knowledge in automotive structures and sub-assemblies
Knowledge of High voltage component safety in automotive crash
Basic understanding of various restraint systems in cars
Other Skills:
Ø Good communication and reporting skills
Ø Ability to work in fast-paced development cycles
Ø Scripting and Automation experience will be an added advantage
Ø Experience in using Linux OS
