Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, talented, and detail-oriented Experienced Power Converter Design Engineer to join our core Minel Product Development team. In this role, you will contribute directly to the design, development, and testing of high-reliability power electronic systems tailored for the Space and Defense sectors. This position is specifically structured for a professional eager to excel in Power Converter Design. You will work under the mentorship of senior engineers to deliver mission-critical solutions that adhere to stringent aerospace and defense standards, ensuring structural integrity, functional safety, and flawless execution in extreme environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and development of power converters (DC-DC isolated and non-isolated and AC-DC).
- Select and optimize converter topologies (Flyback, Forward, LLC, Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost, etc.).
- Perform schematic design, component selection, and power stage calculations.
- Design and validate magnetics (transformers, inductors).
- Develop control loops (analog and/or digital) and ensure system stability.
- Conduct simulation using tools such as LTspice, PSIM, or MATLAB.
- Support PCB layout reviews with a focus on EMI/EMC, thermal performance, and efficiency.
- Perform debugging, testing, and validation (efficiency, load/line regulation, transient response).
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (IEC, UL, EN, CISPR, etc.).
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
- Support DFMEA, design documentation, and production release.
Required Qualifications
Education / Degree:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering or a highly related technical discipline.
Experience Level:
2–4 years of experience. Strong fundamentals in power electronics and analog circuit design.
Core Focus:
- Hands-on experience with Power converter development
- Proficiency in schematic capture, simulation and PCB tools (Altium, OrCAD, KiCad, etc.)
- Experience with magnetic design and power semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs, GaN, SiC)
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC and its mitigation techniques
- Experience using lab equipment: oscilloscopes, power analyzers, electronic loads
Technical Skills
Industry / Academic Exposure in:
- Knowledge of various converter topologies
- Magnetics Design (Transformer and inductor)
- Power semiconductor devices and driver design / selection
- Knowledge of various control methodology used in Power Converter.
- Control loop design
- Power electronics and analog circuit design
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and debugging/problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written documentation, technical reporting, and verbal expression skills.
- Inquisitive mindset with a high degree of coachability, adaptability, and an eagerness to learn complex domains.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate smoothly inside multi-disciplinary & cross-functional project teams.
- High degree of integrity, discipline, and attention to detail necessary for high-stakes Space and Defense initiatives.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with analog (PWM) and digital power control (MCU/DSP-based control)
- Knowledge of magnetics and switching device (Si, GaN or SiC etc.)
- Familiarity with high-efficiency and high-power-density designs
- Experience in Space, Military, automotive, industrial, telecom, or consumer power supplies
- Understanding of thermal management and mechanical integration

Work Environment
This role operates primarily within a cutting-edge electronic R&D laboratory and professional office environment. Candidates will split time between modern desk workstations for simulation and hardware testing into the lab. Occasional movement to localized environmental simulation labs, manufacturing cleanrooms, or secure defense testing facilities may be required.

3rd Saturday every month is off
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
