Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager – Railways with 15–20 years of professional experience and a strong engineering background to lead railway infrastructure, EPC projects, engineering, construction, project execution and operations.
The ideal candidate should have proven experience in railway infrastructure, railway EPC projects, track works, railway electrification, stations, bridges, signaling, construction or large-scale infrastructure projects, along with strong leadership and project management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage overall railway infrastructure and project execution activities.
- Plan, execute and monitor large-scale railway construction and infrastructure projects.
- Manage project planning, engineering, construction, commissioning and maintenance activities.
- Ensure timely completion of projects within approved cost, quality, safety and schedule parameters.
- Coordinate with Indian Railways, Railway authorities, government departments, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, estimates, contracts and project schedules.
- Monitor project progress and establish effective systems for timely completion.
- Identify project risks, technical issues and execution bottlenecks and implement corrective measures.
- Manage project budgets, cost control, manpower, materials and other resources.
- Oversee contractors, subcontractors, consultants and vendors to ensure contractual compliance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Railway standards, safety regulations, quality standards and statutory requirements.
- Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, S&T and other functions.
- Support tendering, estimation, contract management and commercial negotiations.
- Review project MIS, DPRs, KPIs, budgets and progress reports.
- Maintain strong coordination with clients and senior railway officials.
- Lead negotiations, issue resolution and escalation management.
- Develop and implement project strategies to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
- Provide regular project and operational updates to senior management.
Experience
- 15–20 years of overall professional experience.
- Significant experience in Railway EPC, railway infrastructure, track construction, railway electrification, bridges, stations, signaling & telecom, civil works or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Experience with Indian Railways / Railway PSUs / Railway EPC contractors / major infrastructure companies will be preferred.
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
