Ltd. is a leading Solar EPC company specializing in Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Rooftop Solar, Open Access Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Hybrid Energy Solutions. As we expand our Open Access business across India, we are looking for experienced professionals to lead our Projects & Operations team.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Head of Projects – Open Access Solar & BESS to lead the execution and delivery of large-scale Open Access Solar and BESS projects. The ideal candidate will oversee the complete project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning, regulatory liaison, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M). This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and in-depth knowledge of Open Access regulations and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end execution of Open Access Solar and BESS projects.
- Build, mentor, and manage the Projects & Operations team.
- Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Manage engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning, and O&M activities.
- Coordinate with DISCOMs, SLDCs, MEDA, CEIG, and other regulatory authorities for project approvals and compliance.
- Monitor Open Access regulations, banking policies, net metering guidelines, and industry developments.
- Review and approve technical designs, BOQs, layouts, and techno-commercial proposals.
- Implement project monitoring systems, MIS reporting, and quality standards.
- Represent the company during client meetings, regulatory discussions, and project reviews.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or Power Systems.
- M.Tech or MBA will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Solar EPC or Power Projects with significant experience in Open Access Solar projects.
- Strong knowledge of Group Captive, Captive, and Third-Party Open Access models.
- Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Hybrid Energy Solutions is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Excel.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent project planning, budgeting, and execution skills.
- In-depth understanding of Open Access regulations, regulatory approvals, and commercial aspects.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Fluency in English and Hindi. Marathi will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel across India as required.
