About DromoLys
DromoLys Research & Development Pvt. Ltd. is a deep-tech mobility company developing engineering-grade software, artificial intelligence and intelligent infrastructure solutions for transportation and mobility.
Our flagship platform, SaveTrax, converts suitable traffic videos into reviewable, correctable and analysis-ready traffic intelligence. The platform combines a web application, backend services, cloud infrastructure, large-video processing, Computer Vision pipelines and research-grade data outputs.
We are looking for a dedicated Software Test Engineer to independently test the platform, identify defects before release and help establish a reliable QA process within the product team.
Role Overview
As a Software Test Engineer, you will test SaveTrax across its frontend, backend APIs, database interactions, video-upload workflows, asynchronous processing jobs, Computer Vision integration, file exports and production releases.
You will work closely with full-stack, backend, Computer Vision and DevOps engineers. The role requires systematic testing, attention to detail, clear defect reporting and a willingness to progressively build test automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand product requirements, workflows and acceptance criteria.
- Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data and regression checklists.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, exploratory and end-to-end testing.
- Test complete user workflows from registration and project creation through video upload, processing, results review and export.
- Test positive, negative, boundary and failure scenarios.
- Test REST APIs using Postman, Swagger or equivalent tools.
- Validate API requests, responses, authentication, authorization, status codes and error handling.
- Use SQL to verify application data and relationships in PostgreSQL.
- Test large file uploads, interruptions, resumptions, cancellations, duplicate uploads and unsupported files.
- Test long-running background processing, job failures, retries, worker interruptions and recovery.
- Verify that processing results are correctly associated with the relevant user, project and uploaded video.
- Test user permissions and confirm that one user cannot access another user’s projects, videos or outputs.
- Record clear and reproducible defects with screenshots, logs and supporting evidence.
- Retest resolved defects and conduct regression testing before releases.
- Develop automated tests for critical APIs and user workflows.
- Support basic performance and concurrent-user testing.
- Maintain QA documentation, defect reports and release-quality reports.
- Provide independent quality evidence before production releases.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Knowledge of manual testing principles and defect lifecycle.
- Ability to prepare structured test scenarios and test cases.
- Understanding of functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing.
- REST API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.
- Basic SQL and relational-database knowledge.
- Web application testing and browser developer tools.
- Basic knowledge of Git.
- Basic scripting knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python or Java.
- Strong logical reasoning and attention to detail.
- Ability to document defects clearly.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Willingness to work on-site in Kochi.
Preferred Skills

- Postman collections and Newman.
- PostgreSQL.
- JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
- JMeter, k6 or Locust.
- Jira, Linear, ClickUp or another issue-tracking tool.
- Basic Linux and Docker knowledge.
- Exposure to CI/CD.
- Experience testing asynchronous or queue-based applications.
- Experience testing file-upload or video-processing applications.
- Exposure to SaaS, Computer Vision, artificial intelligence or cloud applications.
These are preferred rather than mandatory for trained freshers.
