Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and charismatic Restaurant Captain to lead our service team and ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in high-end standalone restaurants, bars, or lounges, with a strong background in alcohol and beverage service. You will be responsible for managing table service, recommending drink pairings, and maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Greet guests warmly, guide them to their tables, present menus, and provide detailed information on preparation, ingredients, and allergens.
- Beverage & Alcohol Management: Upsell and recommend wines, spirits, beers, and cocktails. Assist guests with food and drink pairings confidently.
- Order Taking & Execution: Punch orders accurately into the POS system and coordinate efficiently with the kitchen and bar staff for timely delivery.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train stewards/commis waiters to ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are strictly followed.
- Billing & Feedback: Handle guest billing accurately and gather valuable feedback to continuously improve our service.
- Compliance: Ensure responsible alcohol service and strict adherence to local liquor laws and hygiene standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience as a Captain or Senior Steward in a casual dining, fine dining, or premium bar/lounge.
- Mandatory Skill: Deep knowledge of alcoholic beverages, including wines, spirits, classic cocktails, and beer styles.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Hindi. Ability to interact confidently with high-profile guests in Worli.
- Education: A degree or diploma in Hotel Management/Hospitality is a strong advantage, though relevant experience is highly valued.
- Availability: Ability to work in flexible shifts, including weekends, late nights, and holidays.
