Qualification: *B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineer, B.E./B.Tech Production Engineer, B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering, Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering*
Experience: *3–5 years of relevant experience*
Location Preference: Candidates residing between Matunga and Thane will be preferred.
*Key Responsibilities*
- * Metallurgical Testing
- * Perform metallurgical testing on raw materials and finished components.
- * Conduct microstructure examination, decarburization evaluation, inclusion rating, grain size evaluation, and phase analysis.
- * Measure effective and total case depth, surface hardness, and core hardness.
- * Prepare metallurgical specimens through sectioning, mounting, grinding, polishing, and etching.
- *Heat Treatment & Process Validation*
- * Validate heat treatment processes and review furnace parameters.
- * Verify hardness profiles after hardening and tempering.
- * Support process capability evaluation and heat treatment cycle optimization.
- *Quality Assurance*
- * Approve the metallurgical quality of incoming raw materials.
- * Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and ensure compliance with customer specifications and applicable standards.
- * Develop inspection plans and maintain laboratory records and equipment calibration status.
- *Customer & Supplier Support*
- * Support customer complaint investigations and Root Cause Analysis using 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone Analysis.
- * Review supplier metallurgical reports and participate in supplier audits and technical discussions when required.
- *Documentation & Continuous Improvement*
- * Prepare metallurgical reports, test records, and SOPs.
- * Support customer and third-party audits.
- * Recommend improvements in raw material selection, heat treatment, surface treatment, and manufacturing processes.
- * Support New Product Development (NPD) activities.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
