Job Summary
We are looking for an accomplished Lead Data Strategy Architect – Microsoft Fabric Specialist to lead enterprise-wide data transformation initiatives for our Industrial Gas project.
In this role, you will bridge business strategy and technology execution by designing scalable, secure, and governed data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Real-Time Intelligence, and Power BI.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, data engineers, and analytics teams to define data strategies, modernize legacy platforms, establish governance standards, and deliver high-impact analytics solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the data strategy, enterprise architecture, and roadmap for Microsoft Fabric implementations.
- Design scalable data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and OneLake.
- Define and implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and enterprise data modeling standards.
- Establish domain-driven data ownership and governance aligned with Data Mesh principles.
- Assess legacy data platforms such as Azure Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake, and SQL Server and define migration strategies to Microsoft Fabric.
- Lead the implementation of Fabric workloads including Data Factory, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Spark/PySpark, Real-Time Intelligence, KQL, and Power BI.
- Define performance optimization strategies for Direct Lake Semantic Models, DAX, Spark workloads, and Fabric capacity.
- Establish CI/CD, Git integration, Azure DevOps, and deployment pipelines for Fabric solutions.
- Define and implement enterprise data governance and security frameworks using Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Fabric.
- Drive implementation of RLS, CLS, access controls, data lineage, DLP, encryption, and workspace governance.
- Monitor and optimize Fabric capacity, compute consumption, and platform costs.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior business and client stakeholders, translating business requirements into scalable data and analytics solutions.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams comprising Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, BI Developers, and Architects.
- Establish architecture standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices across the data engineering lifecycle.
- Ensure successful delivery of multi-phase enterprise data transformation initiatives within agreed timelines and quality standards.
Required Skills :
- 10–14 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Enterprise Data Strategy.
- 1.5–2+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing Microsoft Fabric solutions.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric and OneLake.
- Hands-on experience with Fabric Data Factory, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Synapse Data Engineering, Spark/PySpark, Real-Time Intelligence, KQL, and Power BI.
- Strong knowledge of Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture, Kimball dimensional modeling, and Data Mesh concepts.
- Expertise in Python/PySpark, SQL/T-SQL, DAX, Power Query/M, and PowerShell/CLI.
- Strong experience with Power BI, Semantic Models, Direct Lake, and DAX optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git/GitHub, CI/CD, Fabric deployment pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, data governance, security, lineage, RLS/CLS, and DLP.
- Proven experience leading technical teams and enterprise-scale data transformation programs.
- Strong client-facing, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Industrial Gas, Manufacturing, Energy, Utilities, or related industrial domains will be an added advantage.
- Relevant Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or Power BI certifications will be preferred.
