Job Summary
The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing all civil engineering activities related to the construction of biogas plants. The role involves ensuring that civil works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulations. The engineer will coordinate with design consultants, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
- Supervise and manage all civil construction activities for biogas plant projects.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents before execution.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, project schedules, and quality standards.
- Coordinate excavation, foundation, RCC, structural, masonry, drainage, roads, and finishing works.
- Monitor progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly construction reports.
Site Management
- Conduct site inspections and monitor construction quality.
- Coordinate subcontractors, labor teams, and equipment deployment.
- Verify measurements and certify contractor work quantities.
- Resolve technical issues encountered during construction.
- Ensure proper material handling and storage at the project site.
Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable construction codes.
- Monitor concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, waterproofing, and structural installations.
- Review material test reports and quality documentation.
- Coordinate inspections with clients, consultants, and quality teams.
Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of civil works.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Track project milestones and identify potential delays.
- Participate in project review meetings and progress discussions.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
- Promote safe construction practices and conduct regular safety inspections.
- Ensure statutory approvals and construction activities comply with local regulations.
Documentation
- Maintain site records, inspection reports, and daily progress reports.
- Prepare material reconciliation and quantity verification reports.
- Review contractor bills and support project documentation.
- Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and project close-out documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 3–8 years of experience in industrial, infrastructure, renewable energy, or biogas plant construction.
- Experience in RCC structures, foundations, underground tanks, and industrial buildings is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction standards, IS/Euro codes, and project execution practices.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of quantity estimation and billing.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and project stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in biogas, wastewater treatment, renewable energy, industrial process plants, or EPC projects.
- Familiarity with anaerobic digesters, slurry tanks, utility buildings, and associated civil infrastructure.
- Experience in multidisciplinary project coordination.

Working Conditions
- Primarily site-based with occasional travel to project locations.
- May require extended working hours during critical project phases.
- Compliance with all site safety regulations and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay: ₹10,758.84 - ₹45,981.68 per month
