The School HR Administrator is responsible for managing and supporting all human resource functions within the school, including recruitment, employee records, onboarding, attendance management, payroll coordination, compliance, and staff welfare. The role ensures that HR policies and procedures are implemented effectively to support a positive and productive work environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Staffing
- Coordinate recruitment activities for teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Post job vacancies, screen applications, and schedule interviews.
- Conduct reference and background verification checks.
- Prepare appointment letters and employment contracts.
Employee Onboarding & Offboarding
- Facilitate induction and orientation programs for new employees.
- Maintain onboarding documentation and employee records.
- Manage resignation, termination, and exit interview processes.
Employee Records & HR Administration
- Maintain accurate employee files and HR databases.
- Update staff records, contracts, certifications, and personal information.
- Ensure confidentiality of employee information.
Attendance & Leave Management
- Monitor staff attendance and leave records.
- Process leave applications and maintain leave balances.
- Generate attendance and leave reports for management.
Payroll Support
- Coordinate payroll inputs such as attendance, leave deductions, and salary revisions.
- Assist in salary processing and statutory compliance.
- Maintain records related to compensation and benefits.
Compliance & Policy Implementation
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, school regulations, and HR policies.
- Support policy communication and implementation.
- Maintain required statutory records and documentation.
Employee Relations
- Address employee queries related to HR policies and procedures.
- Support staff engagement and welfare initiatives.
- Assist in resolving workplace issues and grievances.
Training & Development
- Coordinate staff training programs and professional development activities.
- Maintain training records and evaluate program effectiveness.
Reporting
- Prepare HR reports on recruitment, attendance, turnover, and staffing.
- Provide HR-related data and insights to school leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
- HR certification is an advantage.
- 2–5 years of HR administration experience, preferably in an educational institution.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of HR practices and lobar laws.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRMS software.
- Attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
