IndiaZone, a growing B2B commerce platform, is looking for an experienced and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive business growth, develop strategic partnerships, increase platform adoption, and support sales and marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in business development, B2B sales, digital marketing, client acquisition, and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Growth
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and revenue streams
- Build relationships with manufacturers, wholesalers, exporters, distributors, and service providers
- Expand the IndiaZone business network and increase platform participation
- Develop and execute strategies to drive subscriptions, promotional listings, and advertising sales
- Generate and qualify leads through both online and offline channels
- Manage the business pipeline from prospecting to successful deal closure
2. Sales & Client Acquisition
- Present IndiaZone’s services and solutions to prospective business clients
- Negotiate commercial terms and close business deals
- Develop long-term relationships with clients and partners
- Achieve monthly and quarterly business development targets
- Support customer retention and account growth initiatives
3. Marketing & Market Development
- Work closely with the marketing team on lead generation campaigns
- Support digital marketing, promotional campaigns, and business visibility initiatives
- Identify market opportunities, industry trends, and competitor activities
- Recommend strategies to improve customer acquisition and market penetration
4. Reporting & Strategy
- Track business development activities and performance metrics
- Prepare periodic reports and growth forecasts
- Coordinate with management on strategic planning and expansion opportunities
- Contribute ideas to improve business processes and revenue generation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field
- Minimum *5 years of experience* in business development, B2B sales, marketing, or related roles
- Strong understanding of sales processes, lead generation, and client relationship management
- Good understanding of digital marketing and business growth strategies
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and achieve business targets
Preferred Background:
- Experience in *B2B business development and sales*
- Experience working with digital platforms, marketplaces, SaaS products, business services, or subscription-based businesses
- Familiarity with digital marketing, CRM systems, and lead management tools
- Experience managing key accounts, partnerships, or business networks
- Existing business network within Kerala is an advantage
