Role Summary
We are looking for a founder-minded operator to run a geography like it's their own business. As Area
Business Manager, you will own a cluster of stores end to end — the numbers, the teams, the customer
experience — with the autonomy to make calls and the accountability to deliver on them.
This is a role for builders: sharp business acumen, people leadership at scale, and the appetite to
operate independently in a fast-scaling, ambiguity-rich environment where pace is a feature, not a bug.
What You Will Own
Business Performance
- Deliver revenue, productivity, and profitability targets for the assigned stores in a cluster (12-15
stores)
- Drive performance through data-led reviews, insights, and action planning
- Identify local growth opportunities and execute market-specific initiatives
Operational Excellence
- Ensure consistent execution of operational standards and processes across locations
- Drive efficiency, compliance, and service quality
- Monitor key metrics and proactively resolve performance gaps
People Leadership
- Lead large, distributed frontline teams through strong performance management and coaching
(50+ individuals)
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and results
- Drive manpower productivity, capability development, and retention
Customer Experience
- Embed a customer-first culture across the area
- Track customer feedback and service indicators, and drive continuous improvement
Execution & Governance
- Manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes within tight timelines
- Ensure strong governance through structured reviews, audits, and reporting
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive business initiatives
Education
- MBA / PGDM or B.E. / B.Tech from a Tier 1 institution.
Experience
- 3–10 years of experience in operations, sales, or business management roles
- Experience managing multiple locations, territories, or a distributed workforce
- Background in high-scale, consumer-facing industries preferred
Key Competencies
- P&L Ownership: Drives end-to-end performance of a geography/business unit with full
accountability.
- Data-Driven Leadership: Uses analytics to inform decisions and unlock growth.
- Scale Management: Leads and develops large frontline teams (50–150) to deliver consistent
results
- Execution Intensity: Translates strategy into disciplined, on-ground delivery under constraints.
- Structured Decision-Making: Applies rigorous problem-solving and strong business judgment.
- Stakeholder & Customer Alignment: Influences cross-functional partners while championing
customer experience.
Why This Role
Because you wont be maintaining a machine you'll be building one. You get a real P&L, a large team,
and the freedom to run your area the way an owner would.
We are scaling fast, and the people who deliver grow with the business responsibility comes early and
career trajectories here are earned, not scheduled.
If you want a role where the outcomes are visible, the decisions are yours, and the growth curve is steep this is it.
