Job Title: Operation Theatre (OT) Manager
Job Summary:The Operation Theatre Manager is responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient functioning of the surgical department. This role involves coordinating surgical activities, managing staff, ensuring compliance with safety and sterilization standards, and maintaining high-quality patient care within the operation theater.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Supervise daily operations of the operation theater to ensure timely and efficient surgical procedures.
Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for OT activities.
Staff Coordination:
Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and technicians.
Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate coverage for all procedures.
Resource & Equipment Management:
Oversee inventory of surgical supplies, instruments, and disposables.
Ensure proper maintenance, sterilization, and readiness of surgical equipment and instruments.
Sterilization & Infection Control:
Enforce strict infection control protocols and sterilization procedures.
Monitor cleanliness and hygiene standards within the OT environment.
Patient Safety & Care:
Ensure all safety protocols are followed before, during, and after surgery.
Coordinate with nursing staff for patient preparation and post-operative care.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor the quality of surgical procedures and OT processes.
Implement improvements to enhance service quality and patient safety.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure adherence to hospital policies, healthcare regulations, and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of surgeries, staff schedules, inventory, and incident reports.
Training & Development:
Organize training sessions for staff on new procedures, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
Promote continuous professional development.
Emergency Preparedness:
Prepare for emergency situations and ensure availability of emergency equipment and supplies.
Lead response efforts during surgical or medical emergencies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, Hospital Management, or related healthcare field.
Prior experience in surgical nursing, OT management, or healthcare supervision.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of sterilization, infection control, and surgical procedures.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under pressure.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
