Quality Control Engineer
Job Summary
A Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products meet required quality standards, specifications, and customer expectations. The role focuses on inspection, testing, process control, and continuous improvement in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections
- Check raw materials, components, and finished goods
- Conduct tests as per standards (electrical, mechanical, functional)
- Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO, customer specs)
- Monitor production processes to maintain quality
- Identify defects and implement corrective actions
- Prepare inspection reports, test reports, and quality records
- Maintain QA/QC documentation and checklists
- Handle NCR (Non-Conformance Reports)
- Analyze root causes of defects (using tools like 5 Why, Fishbone)
- Suggest improvements to reduce rejection and rework
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Work with production, design, and purchase teams
- Coordinate with clients for inspections and approvals
- Support audits (internal and external)
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 or other quality systems
- Follow safety and regulatory requirements
- Required Skills
- Knowledge of quality tools (7 QC tools, root cause analysis)
- Understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
- Inspection and testing skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Knowledge of ISO standards
- Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- Certification in Quality (ISO Internal Auditor – preferred)
- Fresher to 5+ years (depending on role level)
Pay: ₹9,712.80 - ₹25,091.54 per month
